Dr. Bhuyan joined Lancaster Retina Specialists in 2024. He graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University, where he was awarded the Harvard College Scholarship. He obtained his doctorate in medicine from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. There, he earned the Retina Research Foundation/Joseph and Eula Lawrence Grant and the Jeffrey W. Berger Medical Student Research in Ophthalmology Award. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He then went on to pursue a fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at the University of Iowa, one of the country’s top retina fellowship programs.
Dr. Bhuyan enjoys spending time with his wife, dog, and cats. He likes traveling and hiking. He also enjoys reading science fiction and epic fantasy novels.
He is excited to be a part of the team at Lancaster Retina Specialists. He strives to provide exceptional patient care under the guiding principle that every patient everywhere always deserves the best care.
Dr. Bhuyan provides state of the art care of patients with medical and surgical retinal conditions including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, epiretinal membranes, macular holes, retinal tears and retinal detachments.
